Smart Cities is a buzz word in government circles which is essentially a data-driven approach to managing the delivery of public services. At the core of Smart Cities is a group of technologies called Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT and Smart Cities technology landscape is growing at lightning speed. More than 35 billion IoT devices were installed around the world by the end of 2021. FIWARE was established to address this challenge.
